People this just in........ Reed-Custer is good and ready to challenge for the ICE title (Still Interstate 8 to me). 2-0 and walking with swagger ready to open up conference play against a 2-0 Lisle squad. Parpet got his Lions playing big boy football and ready shut down those Reed-Custer dreams on Friday night. Reed-Custer has made a name for itself this summer during 7on7 play and has been taking that momentum to the Fall. Comets haven't been in the playoffs since 2009, back in the Cappel era. Lisle beat the brakes off of my Sentinels in the Old Plank Road rivalry game and look ready to enter Conference play with a dynamic athletic attack. Both teams will be feature some big time underrated athletes from the ICE. Hopes are high in Braidwood and the Comets are dreaming up November goals.
