We got ourselves a major battle of two undefeated teams in DuPage County. York being a huge surprise in the 2021 campaign and continuing the success into this season. Downers Grove North program with excitement after Horeni taking the reins in 2018 and guiding the Trojans to the playoffs in 2019. Both teams featuring up and big-name coaches in Horeni and Fitzgerald. Both teams feature star QBs in Matt Vezza and Sam Reichert. Both teams feature stifling defenses and highly skilled players on both sides of the ball. Two teams that are licking their chops looking for a shot against division rival Glenbard West. York is trying to take that second step into going far in the IHSA playoffs after a first round upset to Minooka last season. Downers Grove North trying to bring back the Trojans to past success and chase a state title. Let's not also forget the sophomore teams as well, because both these teams will have future success.
