Maverick Ohle Naperville Central DE/ER Class of 2024 6'2 220

Maverick Ohle how was your season? It was great, as a team, we lost some games we shouldn’t and didn’t finish the way we wanted but we won some big games. Personally I felt I made strides as a player and was a big factor on the defensive line for our team. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me, it’s the most emotional sport there is and that’s what I love about it. Being out there and making a play with the guys you’ve worked with is the best. What should college coaches know about you? Some things they should know are is I love to work my tail off in the weight room and I pride myself on being a vocal leader. What was one of your favorite memories this season? Beating Lincoln Way East was a fun time. They hadn’t lost a regular season game in a long time so to be able to beat such a great program on our home field felt amazing. What part of your game are you going to work on in the offseason? Just getting bigger, stronger and faster. I think those are things that set me apart and I want to keep getting better at, on the field wise though I had a bad habit of reaching for jerseys instead of wrapping up at the hips, missed some sacks that way for a few games so when I fix that for good, next season there will be much less missed opportunities. What do you like about playing on defense? I like the intensity of it, the offense has a job to do and you have to stand in front and stop them from succeeding. I also feel it’s the best way to showcase my speed and power.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting
