Mick Ranquist Montini OG/DT Class Of 2024 6'2 235
Mick Ranquist how was your season? The team had our fair share of ups and downs with a very competitive schedule finishing 3-6. I was 2nd team all-conference at left guard and defensive tackle. What does football mean to you? Football is my life and I just love to compete in everything I do How excited are you to start wrestling? I can’t wait to turn some heads and show some people that I’m an elite two sport athlete.
How has wrestling helped your technique in football? I’ve been a wrestler all of my life and we all have a different mindset that nobody else on the football field has. The footwork and hand fighting involved in wrestling is the same at the guard position and gives me an edge on the field.
What should college coaches know about you? I am a competitor who loves to be challenged in everything I do. What do you think is your strongest trait on the football field? I am tougher than anybody who lined up across from me.
What do you like about playing in the trenches? The lowest and toughest guys will always win. In order to be successful, the whole group needs to be on the same page which makes every lineman accountable.
What goals do you have for yourself next season? I want to make the playoffs next year and personally be selected as an all-state player.
