Logan Malachuk Nazareth QB Class of 2024 5'11 165

Logan Malachuk, how was your freshman season?

My freshman season was a great season. I had a lot of fun with all of my teammates and got a great experience starting on varsity for 10 games and making it to the third round of the playoffs was a really good and fun experience for me.

What does football mean to you?

Football means a lot to me and there's a lot of reasons I love it but one of the best is the brotherhood it creates because of how much you have to rely on and trust your teammates. This also creates bonds and friendships that last a lifetime

What was your favorite memory last season?

I had a lot of great memories last season, from my first start to winning, my first varsity game, to winning our first playoff games. But if I had to choose one it was the last week in the regular season when we won our last game to get us into the playoffs and seeing all of my teammates, especially the seniors, so happy because we made it to the playoffs after overcoming a lot of adversity and then seeing how happy our coaches were for us.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

I would say one of my strongest traits is my leadership, and my ability to be a leader on the field and on the sidelines.

How has your offseason been so far?

The offseason has been great. We've been putting in the work and getting better and just can’t wait until August comes.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I am a hard worker and I love to play football and everything that comes with it, and I love to compete

What do you like about playing QB?

I like how the quarterback is always in control, and how the offense moves with us, and we get to decide when the play starts and for the most part how the play executes.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

I of course have, "winning a state championship" at the top of my list, but I want to throw for 30 touchdowns and over 2,500 yards is a personal goal I would like to accomplish.

How does Nazareth look for the upcoming season?

Naz is looking really good this year. We have a lot of young players that now have a year under their belt on the varsity level, as well as a great group of upperclassmen that will be the leaders of our team and show all the incoming group of players what to do.
