Daniel Niesman how was your 2019 season? My 2019 season went great despite a heartbreak loss for my team on the last play. I stepped up as a leader on our defense and helped us in some big moments. I am looking to continue to do the same in our upcoming season and help our team make the postseason. What schools have you talked to so far? I have been taking to Denison University, Depauw University, Illinois Weslyan University, John Carrol University, and Roosevelt University among others. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am a very hardworking and intelligent player. I have worked extremely hard this offseason getting a lot faster and stronger. I am preparing for a breakout season this Spring. What do you like about playing linebacker? I love how challenging the position of linebacker is. To be dominant you need the strength of defensive lineman in combination with the athleticism of defensive backs. In addition, you have the opportunity to command the defense and make difficult reads in the backfield. Finally, I just love being aggressive by hitting people and making plays. How does St. Viator look for the upcoming season? I believe that we are going to surprise a lot of people in the state this year. We have a strong group of upperclassmen with a competitive group of underclassmen ready to take our program to the top. We have been setting new expectations in the weight room smashing previous lifting records as a team this offseason. We are hungry to get this season started and win some games.
