Mason Maleck St. Rita TE/H-B Class of 2024 6'1 195
Mason Maleck how was your spring season? It was good, I was just happy to play again. Our first game was canceled, but ultimately we went 3-2. I’m very excited for the fall season. Personally I did pretty good I played TE at the beginning of the season then I transition to a TE/Hybrid Back. Overall I’m very excited to continue our success into the fall season. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. I have been playing football for 10 years now. Football at first was a hobby, then a game, and now it is a lifestyle. You either live up to your expectations or you don’t. I have many passions , however football is my main passion. My dream is to go to college and play football. I know how much it will take to get there, but I am ready and up for the challenge. What part of your game are you working on in the offseason? My St Rita coaches thought it is a good idea not to play 7v7. So, I am working with a TE coach named Kyle Tynan. We are working on making me faster, working on breaks, my route running and catching. Plus I’m lifting daily. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait is I believe that I am very coachable. I can be lined up wide/in the slot/on the line as a typical TE or as a hybrid back. I love to be able to block and catch, so I can be a complete TE. What should college coaches know about you? They should know that I love football with a passion. I am dedicated to make everyone around me better. They should also know that I am a team first player. I am beyond dedicated and will continue working on being better than yesterday. I will never give up on my goals. Who are some St. Rita players from the Class of 2024 I should keep an eye out for? A few are DJ Stewart, Ethan Middleton, Noah Gertonson, Zack Clark, Reno lowery, Cesar Chavez, Brady Courtney those are the ones who stand out in my class at Rita.
