Monjae Bell how was your junior season?
My junior season was great. I learned a lot about taking the leadership role at quarterback. I was able to come back and play after 2 years and build a on and off the field chemistry with all my teammates.
What does football mean to you?
Football is my source of happiness. The sport has always been my escape from everything that’s happened to me throughout my life. It’s given me so many opportunities to move forward and learn the responsibilities of being a well rounded man. Football to me is a lot more then just football. It made me the person I am today!
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am very versatile. I play both basketball and football. Work two jobs and go to school. I’m willing to do whatever is necessary to be great. I am a very hard worker and quick learner.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My strongest trait is my size, vision and athletic ability.
What do you like about playing QB?
I like that it’s the head to the whole offense. At QB I'm able to make plays happen every time I touch the ball. I love being the mastermind on the field and making everything else easier for my teammates.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
State championship. I’m not shooting for nothing less. I plan to come back next season a stronger well rounded player. I plan to live in the gym and on the field this whole offseason.
What part of your game are you trying to improve in the offseason?
My footwork, throwing the football with technique and lifting weights.
