Patrick Heneghan New Trier QB Class of 2025

Patrick Heneghan how was your season? My season went better the I expected. As a freshman I was the starting QB on the Freshman/Sophomore team and through the season our team became much stronger and overall came together as one! At the end of the year I was able to take some snaps on the JV team and then concluded the year on varsity for the state playoffs! Even though I had a great first season at New Trier, there are things I look forward to working on in the off-season to prepare me for my sophomore year! What does football mean to you? Football means many things to me. It means competition, commitment but it also means family. The bond you build on the field and off the field with your teammates is so strong and that’s what makes football so special. What do you like about playing QB? When you play the QB position you are always looked at as a leader. I feel that this is one of my biggest strengths in football. Leading my team and raising them up helps us succeed and win games! I also love the pressure that comes with being a QB! I feel I can take the pressure and use it to my advantage. What should college coaches know about you? I am a devoted, hard working and natural leader. I am motivated and work hard to provide support to teammates both on and off the field. I am always open to feedback and advice, recognizing that it will only help me to become a better player and person. I am committed to academics as well as athletic opportunities, and genuinely have a love for all aspects of the game. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I personally feel that my arm strength and competitive drive are my strongest traits on the football field! During the off-season I’m using weight training and a arm velocity clinic to get me prepared for next fall.
