Mekhi Hubbard Morgan Park 5'11 210 Class of 2025 ER/ATH
Mekhi Hubbard, how has your season been so far?
As a sophomore on varsity at Morgan Park, my season has been great. I see my skills improving each week and my team's energy heightening after every win. We are currently 5-0, and I am confident I can help my team make it to the state playoffs.
What does football mean to you?
For me, football is life. I have played since seven. To play football as a Morgan Park Mustang is an honor. Football teaches me discipline, dedication, and, more importantly, teamwork. It also inspires me to be successful in life, and it will allow me to pursue a good education.
What do you feel is the strongest trait on the football field?
My strongest trait on the football field is my ability to lead and to be agile. I make every play and every game count for myself and my team. Helping my teammates be the best they can be is very important to me.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know I show up to practice on time and treat my coaches and teammates respectfully. I am dedicated to improving my skills and doing whatever it takes to lead my team to victory. I am also opened to learning new things and becoming a better player.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
I like playing in the trenches because being the first line of defense allows me to think quickly and execute my moves. I get action in every play!
What goals do you have for yourself for the rest of the season?
We are currently 5-0, and I hope we will remain undefeated until the end of the season. My personal goal is to stay healthy, excel academically, and uphold the Morgan Park Mustang legacy by helping my team win the state championship!
How good can this Morgan Park squad be?
To be a Morgan Park Mustang is a privilege. The bond that I have with my teammates is strong. For the next two years, we plan to dominate the league. The best is yet to come
