What does football mean to you Jimmy Zarco?

Football is a team sport that is a lot more than any other sport. You have to work together with your teammates in every second of every drive and everyone needs to do their part to win that drive. It’s also a place to also show your skill on a 1v1 situation on every single play.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I love the grind of football and I will always get back up no matter what and keep trying until I’m perfect at it.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

My strongest trait on the field I would say is my core because I'm quick on my feet and having very good balance and hands. I am a natural leader that picks up my teammates in the huddle.

What do you like about playing tight end?

I like that you are able to be all over the field. As a tight end I like that you are able to run routes and catch footballs but also block for the quarterback and running back. I just like to hit any chance I get.

What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?

This off-season I’m working a lot on my footwork, speed, balance and strength as well as my hands as a receiver and grip strength. I train at 3 different locations every week that are helping me with this. This will definitely get me ready for the season.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

I'll be entering my JR season and first year at varsity. I have been grinding and working hard to play next to my brother at tight end and i also plan on making at least 8 camps this year.

Who is one player on Lyons Township that is slated to have a breakout season?

Sophomore receiver Travis Stamm he is tall, quick, and has good hops.
