Meet Illinois Valley Central WR Aidan Fulton Class Of 2023 - Name To Watch

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Aidan Fulton Illinois Valley Central Class of 2023 WR 5'11 160

Aidan Fulton how was your junior season? It went well! Coming off of a shortened season and losing some key seniors I didn’t know what to expect. As a team we had a slow start but as the season progressed, we got into a groove and started to win some games and had some younger kids fill big roles. As an individual this was my second year playing varsity, so I was comfortable and was able to make some big plays on the field. I also moved around a lot on the offensive side of the field playing slot, wideout, and some running back. That took some getting used to, but it definitely played off. What was one of your favorite memories last season? My favorite memory was week 6 which was homecoming week for IVC. We had a roll out pass called, and three defenders got into the back field. Our quarterback Nolin Hulett was able to break a few tackles and basically two-handed chest pass me the ball. Once I got it I made a few defenders miss and then laid a kid out before scoring the touchdown. This play was sloppy but we were able to make something out of nothing which is why it will always be my favorite memory. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I would say my strongest trait on the field is my speed and ability to create something out of nothing. How does IVC look for the upcoming season? We are losing a few senior starters from last year so we will have some open spots on both sides of the ball. I feel like we will be able to fill those spots and have a solid season. We are losing our QB so our offense might look a little different but there is nothing wrong with that. Looking forward to having 4 returning receivers which will help keep our offense rolling from last year.

What should incoming freshmen IVC players know about this football program? Incoming freshman looking to play IVC football should know that we have a program full of hard-working athletes that put their heart into the game. We put the work in on and off the field and never turn down a challenge. It doesn’t matter if we are the smallest team in the state we will play as hard as we can all four quarters. You should be prepared to play with this same mentality throughout your entire IVC football career because we expect nothing less.
