Owen Lansu what does football mean to you? It has been a part of my life since I was five years old and went to my first Bears game. It means so much to build relationships with people and create memories while doing something that you love. I hope to keep working at it for a very long time.
How was your 8th grade season? It was a really rewarding experience. I had never played with my grade before and since most of our team didn’t get a 7th grade season we really didn’t know how good we would be. We started 7–0 and lost a tough game in the semifinal. It was just awesome to grow and be a part of something with your best friends. How excited are you to start high school football? I honestly couldn’t be more excited. I am working with the varsity during camp and just trying to get meaningful reps and win the starting job What do you like about playing QB? Playing QB allows me to control the game and have the offense run through me. I feel like the offense can only go as far as the QB is capable of taking it, so I like that aspect of the position What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Arm talent What goals do you have for yourself this season? My main goal and focus is to be the starter week 1 for DGN. But most importantly this season is all about improving and getting ready to contend for state.
