By: Peter "Coach Big Pete" Leinweber

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Dominic Ohlinger how was your junior season? Well, we had a new coach, many changes to the team and how we played the game. I feel like we did a lot better than what our record showed. Personally, I didn’t get as much playing time I was hoping for. Was mainly a special team's player, and occasionally played my linebacker/fullback position. What was one of your favorite memories last season? Beating our cross-town rival, Sycamore in the first game of the season. What does football mean to you? Football is the ultimate team game. Everyone has to do their 1/11. Just really motivates me to do the best I can do at a position, so I don’t let my teammates down. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My desire to do the best I can and to succeed in the field is probably my strongest trait or attribute. What do you like about playing linebacker? Well, I play outside linebacker currently, and I played DB pretty much my whole life. I like that outside combines the ball skills and playmaking in the pass game, with filling holes and being more involved in the run game. What should college coaches know about you? I’m determined, I’ve grown considerably from last season. I’ve lived in the weight room and am stronger than ever. I am ready to play football.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? Be a standout player on defense. Minimize mistakes, be a good teammate, become more of a student to the game, and just have fun and bond with my team.
