Ben Kolodziej, how is your junior season going so far?
Pretty good, it started with 2 tough losses, but we are on a hot winning streak right now and will be having some big games coming up with a lot of momentum.
What does it mean to you to have a big game last Friday night?
Being that it was against our rival team it was a huge win for us, and it was great to be recognized for my individual contributions. The shutout was extra sweet by our defense.
What does football mean to you?
It's a big part of my life and I love the competition that every week brings. I enjoy the camaraderie with my teammates and the memories that we are creating.
What should college coaches know about you?
That I'm a hard worker and committed to the sport. I feel that I have what it takes to get to the next level, but I stay humble and hold myself to a certain standard of getting better and learning from my mistakes. I lead by example and strive together with my teammates to make us all better.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I feel that my strongest traits are my speed and size.
What do you like about playing on defense?
I love a big hit and I love getting after the quarterback. A big play of defense can be a game changer and I strive to get those types of plays.
Who is the funniest player on the team?
Cayden Parks, he keeps it fun for all of us during practice and games. He likes to chirp!
What goals do you have for yourself this rest of the season?
To make the playoffs and to get far into the bracket. Also to continue our defensive team effort, and individually continue to have big impactful plays.
Who else on Crystal Lake Central should be on the lookout for the rest of the season?
Cayden Parks is one of our leaders on defense. He's got a strong knowledge of the game and hits hard too.
