What does football mean to you?

Football has been part of my life every Fall since I was little.  I LOVE it and I never knew how much until it was cancelled.  I love the toughness that is part of football as well as all the preparation that goes into it during the week.  As a team we work work all year to accomplish our goals.  It has humbled me at times but more importantly it has trained me to work hard, sacrifice and respect  my coaches and teammates as we are in this for each other. My best friends have been because of Football and being able to work hard with them to reach our goals is the best feeling.   What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?

I have been working on my footwork and throwing consistency.  In our Cary Grove offense we work on the triple option footwork which is 100% under center for the QB.  It is based on timing and and it takes a ton of repetitions to perfect this offense.  In addition I am still attending the Throw It Deep quarterback camp that has helped me work on my passing footwork and accuracy.  This is more out of a pro set offense. I I also have watched more film than ever before as we have not been able to compete this Fall.   What do you like about playing QB?

The best part of being a quarterback is that you can control the tempo of the game and can learn throughout the game. I like playing a team and seeing how they defend and then figuring out the plays that would work against them. As a quarterback you see the entire field and can change something at the last second from the line that can impact the game..  I also enjoy the leadership role that comes and is expected with being a quarterback.  Having teammates depend on me motivates me to prepare and up my game at all times.  What should college coaches know about you?

I would want them to know that I am all about the team success and being part of something bigger.  They should also know that I try and approach every practice like an actual game and I will always be working to gain the respect of my coaches and teammates.  How does this Cary Grove squad look for 2021?

We are looking forward to getting on the field with an explosive and solid defense. Our coaches have been keeping us prepared and the good news is a lot of Juniors had significant playing time last year and gained great experience. What really makes this special is that most of Juniors and Seniors have played together since 3rd grade and it we have been waiting for the chance to play as one team in High School.  I truly feel we are like "one" out there and we can't wait to get going.  It should be a good season for Cary Grove. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

I feel my strongest trait is my ability to move on once a play is done.  It does not matter if the result is good or bad, we all need to focus on winning the next play until the games over. This is what keeps the entire huddle focused and motivated.  I can thank all my coaches throughout the years for reminding me of that.
