Derrick Weems how was your sophomore season?
My sophomore season was definitely a big milestone too averaging 8-10 tackles per game playing full games on both sides of the ball, and to winning defensive player of the year.
What does football mean to you?
Football is more than just a sport to me. It became more of a second home there, when I needed to blow off steam and there for the good and the bad.
What should college coaches know about you?
Somethings that colleges should know about me is no matter what the conflict is I make sure I finish everything. I's not backing down when a challenge is too big, and I just keep my foot on the gas constantly no breaks until I reach my goal and my team's goal.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
No matter what the difficulties, you are having keep your head and energy up because one person with low energy will spread through the team before you know it.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
Currently I have been working on my endurance and staying in the weight room
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? Some goals I have for the upcoming season is become All-City and get that first playoff win for my team.
