Jayden Ellington Althoff Catholic QB Class Of 2027 5'11 160

Jayden Ellington what does football mean to you? Football means everything to me. Football is my safe haven, where I can relax and be myself. Football is more than just a game. It has taught me many values that I will use everyday life. Such as perseverance, teamwork and leadership. How was your 8th grade season? My 8th grade season went well. Although, we didn’t win the championship, I learned a lot about myself and trusting my abilities. I hope this will help me in High School. What do you like about playing QB? Playing the quarterback position means I have to be mentally strong and process information properly and fast. I like that I can lead a team and be looked upon as a leader. I love being a quarterback because when I step on that field nothing else matters but my coaches & teammates.

Is there a QB that you looked up to, or modeled your game after? I look up to Lamar Jackson. I feel like I have the same unique skill assets as him. And with time and experience I hope to be better. How excited are you to start high school football? I’m very excited about being at Althoff Catholic High School. My teammates & coaches are great!!! They believe in what I can bring to the football field. I’m hoping I can help contribute to bringing a championship to the city of Belleville.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait on the football field is being able to make plays in & outside of the pocket with my legs. I trust my throwing ability and speed to make plays.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting

But About The Love Of The Game Of IHSA Football

RESPECT THE GAME
