Nicolas Flynn Lake Forest OL 6'4 301 Class of 2022
Nicolas Flynn how was it coming back for Week 1?
Overall the work my teammates and I put in over the summer is starting to show through.. Beating a team like St. Francis and dominating the line of scrimmage is what we worked to do all summer. Definitely went out there and set the tone first.. Lining up with division one prospects like TJ McMillen and shutting them down quick shows how capable we are as a team. It was good to get that lineup because it just improved me as a player with experience so I believe Week 1 was a huge success.. Definitely going to improve for this next week..
What does football mean to you?
Football has been my life the past couple years.. I started playing as a sophomore for my first time ever. Football has taught me more then just how to block and tackle but it’s taught me responsibility and loyalty. I feel like there is no other group of guys that are more loyal to each other and have each others backs than a football team. Football is everything to me, it has brought me a new level of maturity and skill I didn’t know I had. I look forward to running out of the tunnel every Friday night.. I know if I trust my teammates and they trust me we can fly around and make things happen.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
To be honest I love being physical. Dominating the line of scrimmage is something that all Offensive lineman need to do to help win games. Not only is it good to use height and weight and strength to your advantage but, good technique and footwork can beat anyone.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m a energizer.. I always bring the heat. I love hyping up my teammates and i’m mentally tough. I can make a locker room rallied up to run out on a field and win a game. Overall i’m a team player and I do anything for football even though there are risks. Long story short i strive to be the hardest worker on and off the field.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I feel as if my strongest trait on the field is how mentally and physically strong I am. I use good technique and my strength to my ability to make plays. I stay locked into the game and play my ass off like there won’t be another..
