Cole Crafton Lincoln Way West QB Class of 2024 6'4 192

Cole Crafton how was your season? It was great to have the opportunity to participate on varsity as a sophomore. The beginning of the season was a rough start but the team pulled it together and finished the regular season strongly. We wish we could’ve made more of an impact in the playoffs. We are going to look at this as a learning experience and hopefully be more successful next year. What does football mean to you? I love football because it combines the physical part of the game and also the mental part that is necessary for success. This game is really special because victory depends on every single person on the field completing their own assignments. What should college coaches know about you? I enjoy studying the game by watching film and understanding that many mistakes will happen along the way. The key is to recognize the mistakes and learn from them. I am thick skinned, extremely coachable, good listener, athletic, strong, and a overwhelming urge to learn. What do you like about playing QB? I like the QB position because it’s the one offensive position where you can see the entire field and I am able to touch the ball every play. I also like the QB position because of the demand it has for preparation. Not only do I need to know my assignments I have to understand everyone’s job on offense and read defenses at the same time. I get to showcase the strength of my arm and the demand for accuracy at the same time. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I strongly believe that every time I step on the field I am the most competitive player. My desire to win, be the best, and always get better is the reason why I am constantly training/studying the game.
