Jimmy Curtin Lincoln Way East WR 6'0 185 Class of 2023
Jimmy Curtin how was your junior season? It went pretty well. We didn’t have the turn out we hoped for as team, but we played really well together especially for being a younger team. Individually I felt like I had a good year helping my team out as much as I could when I was on the field. What does football mean to you? It means everything to me the last couple of years I’ve really began to love the game. I’ve always been around football growing up. My dad and all my uncles played college football, so I’ve been around it for all my life. What should college coaches know about you? I think the big thing they should know is I’m a very hard worker in every aspect of the game whether it’s watching film or working on my routes on the field. I try to be the best leader I can to my teammates to help our team be the best it can be. What do you like about playing WR? I love that even when you don’t have the ball, you're still a huge part of the play. I like making the big plays in the games and scoring touchdowns but there’s no better feeling than making a big block for your running back and seeing him make a big play. Overall, I love that I can be physical out there every play. What is your favorite route to run? I think my favorite route to run has to be a post. It’s a pretty simple route but there’s a ton of stems to the route you can add to create separation. I like showing off my speed and making a big play. What game excites you the most from this upcoming season? I have a few games on my mind this year but definitely Batavia. I haven’t played them yet in my high school career so playing them is going to be exciting I know they have two really solid linebackers on their defense which will make the game really exciting. Also, Lockport is another game I’m excited for we have always had a little rivalry between us and them winning the state championship makes it that much more exciting!
