Eli Thompson how was your sophomore year? Well, I would say my sophomore year has really been the tale of two years the first year was the season and it didn’t go well because at that time. I wasn’t that good at all, but after the season. I worked essentially as much as I could to get better and I felt like I’ve turned the page on that season, because I’m 100 times better than I was during the season. What does football mean to you? Well it means a lot to me, and it always has because my dad played college football and I’ve played it since I was young. What should college coaches know about you? That I’m a hard worker and I’m always working to be the best player I can be, and that I’m always studying the game.

What do you like about playing QB? Well to be honest I like the pressure of playing the position and I thrive under pressure. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Well, I feel like I have a strong football IQ, but as far as ability I feel like I’m very accurate throwing the ball and have a strong arm. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? Well I’ve really spent my time working on throwing the ball. I would say back during the season I wasn’t that good throwing the ball and I was fairly inaccurate. But now I’m a 100 times better throwing the ball and I’m very accurate. I’ve also worked a good amount on speed as well.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? Well, I think the most important goal has to be to win state. But as far as personal goals, I hope to really put last season behind me by playing well and having a good season and showing my ability and what I can do on the field.
