Introducing Marist Defensive Back Tyrese Johnson Class Of 2025

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Tyrese Johnson Marist DB/WR Class Of 2025 5'9 150

Tyrese Johnson how has your offseason been so far? It’s been great. I have been lifting, going to db training, and working outside with some of my teammates How was sophomore season? Sophomore season was great. I had about 25 tackles, 20pbu’s, 2 interception, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. What does football mean to you? Football is my first love. As soon as I picked up a football in 1st grade I fell in love with it. Football is my life. I hope to play the game of football for a very long time.

What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am a hard worker, a leader, and a very well put young man. I push myself everyday because I know that there are people out there who have the same goals as me. So I grind and work hard everyday to maintain that edge. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? My press man. I know I’m going to be going against some top receivers and I pretty much have everything else down pack. So once I get my press man down I’ll become a force to be reckoned with. What do you like about playing defensive back? I love having that pressure on me. Defensive back is the hardest position in football. I believe that I’m the best athlete every time I touch the field. And I keep that dog mentality every time I play the game of football.

What are your goals for the upcoming season? CCL defensive player of the year, 35 tackles, 21 PBU’s, 5 INTs, 4 forced fumbles. STATE CHAMPION!!
