Dillan Davis Lakes Athlete Class Of 2026 5'8 170
Dillan Davis how was your freshman season? My freshman season went almost perfect, I got to play 3 full games of freshman football which really helped me get up to the speed of high school football. Then I got same great news I was being called up to varsity! I didn’t play in the first 2 games. Which I think benefited me the most. I learned the plays/calls and got used to the speed of varsity football. Then I was blessed with more great news I was being named a starter. A lot came with this we played Wauconda who I think was our hardest opponent we faced yet. Also, I was the first Lakes freshman to ever start on varsity. But with all the pressure on me I did not fold when it came down to it. I had 24 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss 2 1/2 sacks through out the 3 games I started. What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t think about it. It has built me into the man I am today. It has taught me self discipline, hard work, selflessness and most importantly how to be a great teammate.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know they would be getting a great student, a very hard worker, and most importantly a natural born leader. Also when the pressure is at the highest I preform at my highest.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My vision, whether it is at running back and seeing the holes develop or at line backer and seeing the the formation’s they line up in and letting my teammates know what we need to set up in. I pride myself in knowing when I see the plays develop I will make the right reaction in dropping back into coverage or coming down to fill my hole or make the tackle.
What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?
I’ve been working on my strength the hardest this off-season. I will be a sophomore this season. So I know I won’t be the biggest on the field. But if I can step onto the field knowing I outworked everyone my confidence will be at its highest and I will fear nothing.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? First my most important goal is to make it back to the playoffs. Unfortunately, I haven’t played any playoff football yet and I am craving it. 2nd I want to have 75 tackles that is around 8 and a half tackles a game. 3rd I want to beat Antioch. They are our biggest rival. After they beat us last year, they rubbed it in our face. I NEVER and I mean NEVER want to feel that again.
