Gene Riordan how was your first high school season?
Terrific, I played with the sophomores for most of the year and varsity for the last game. It was great to get to know the guys in both levels.
What does football mean to you?
Football means the world to me, it is a shared experience between a small group of people working towards a larger goal. I love to play and watch football, it is a hard feeling to replicate.
What should college coaches know about you?
Football is a process of continuous improvement, I would like to think of myself as a coach able player. I am always looking to improve. Second I am a very competitive person.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
It is a very gritty position to play, you can’t take any plays off. Being a linemen is a unique brotherhood. I have always played on the line and it is natural fit for me.
What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?
Improve my overall speed ,agility and footwork. I plan on focusing on my pass protection, I have had a couple great coaches start to work with me on it and I need to continue. I also have a goal of getting my 40 down to a 5 flat.
