Tony Chahino Geneva QB Class Of 2025 6'1 195
Tony Chahino, how has your offseason been so far?
My offseason has been amazing. I’ve been training and weightlifting every day. My focus is on making myself better than I was the day before. I’ve had the opportunity to visit few colleges. Which has given me a good idea on what I need to work on in order to compete at the next level. Can’t wait for this upcoming season!
How was your sophomore season?
My sophomore season was amazing, and the team started off very strong going 2-0. Sadly, I broke my thumb during one of our practices. To continue contributing for the team I switched to playing defense which was incredibly fun. When playoffs came around, I got to play Quarterback. Unfortunately, we fell short to an amazing St. Rita team. I was glad I was able to
finish my season in the position I love.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. I grew up watching and playing the game, which I quickly fell in love with. I’m working every day to get to my goal of playing in college.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am a team player that will do anything to help the team. I am a competitor who is extremely driven to help the team preform it’s best in any way I can.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
What I would say is my strongest trait on the field is being able to feel pressure in the pocket and make something out of nothing.
What do you like about playing QB?
What I love about playing QB is that I get the opportunity to be a leader on the team and I get a
part in running the offence. Whenever my teammates are feeling down, I have the ability to motivate them and bring their spirits up.
What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?
The part of my game I’m working on this offseason is my pace of play. I am working on playing at a higher tempo. My experiences this past season showed me that the pace of the game is very quick and if you want to survive you have to be prepared for anything.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
My goal for this upcoming season is to become a better athlete, student, teammate and win a state championship.
What is your favorite route to throw to?
My favorite route to throw is comebacks because it is a very hard route to cover and with the right timing/ball placement its almost unstoppable.
