Eric Bower Huntley OL/DE Class of 2023 6'6 265
Eric Bower how was your junior season? My junior season went pretty well. Week 3 I switched from Defensive End to Offensive tackle to fill a missing spot in our O-Line. Week 4, I started my first week at right tackle against Cary-Grove and things clicked the offense from there. What does football mean to you? To me football is bigger than just men running at each other. For me it’s the family I’ve built between youth and in high school. I spend more time with my teammates hanging out or working out or even just getting food than I do with my parents and my sister. Football has prepared me for what I will do after college and has shaped me to the person I am today. What schools have you been talking to so far? Louisville, Northwestern, Western Michigan, Austin Peay, Butler, Valpo, Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, Holy Cross, Northern State, Upper Iowa, and a bunch of UW Wisconsin D3 schools. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that academics are important and that I’m a hardworking constantly looking to improve on my game on and off the field. Whether watching extra film on teams or myself or going to get extra work in with FIST Football. I am constantly working out improving my game with my coaches and my teammates every step of the way. I’m a great teammate! What do you like about playing in the trenches? Since I started playing 11 years ago, I’ve played QB, TE, DE, but there is nothing like battling in the trenches and getting those huge pancake blocks and knocking others on the ground. What goals do you have for yourself this season? Team Goal - Great season, make the 8A playoffs. Individual Goals - solid season up front leading to the team's success and securing an opportunity to play at the next level.
