Korey Tai Glenbard West QB/ATH Class of 2023 6'0 175

Korey Tai how was your junior season? My junior season went well. It was my first full year as a starting quarterback, and I learned a lot as far as managing the game and reading defenses. It didn’t end how I would’ve liked it to though, I didn’t play in our two playoff games because of some crucial mistakes in big time games. But my junior year I learned a lot about myself and what it takes to be a good quarterback. What does football mean to you? Football is everything to me I’ve been playing the game my entire life and it’s really shaped me into who I am today. What schools have you been talking to so far? Nebraska, Minnesota, Army, Navy, Buffalo, Colgate, Lehigh, and some D2 schools. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am willing to do whatever it takes to be successful on and off the field and that I am a high character person and leader. Also, that I am a very versatile athlete and can play multiple positions on the field whether it’s quarterback, receiver, defensive back, or special teams.

What position do you like playing the most? I love being a quarterback because it gives me the ability to control and slow the game down. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? This off-season my main priority was putting on weight and getting bigger, faster, stronger. I’ve gained 15 pounds since last season putting me in between 175-180. I have been throwing often and working on my foot work and different pocket movements. I am also running track right now and training with my personal trainer Dom. What goals do you have for yourself this season? I feel like this year we have an opportunity to make a huge playoff run so this season I just want to be the best leader and teammate I can be. Personally speaking I would like to be an All-Conference football player and just learn more and more about the game. But most importantly learning from the mistakes I made last season and developing more as a player. What game are you most looking forward to this upcoming season? I’m really looking forward to our season opener against Marist. I think it would be a huge statement to come out the gates with a win and set the tone for the season. But with that being said I am also looking forward to seeing York and Hinsdale Central again.
