Awesome to be back at Wheaton Academy and see Coach Johanik & Staff along with his players. Coach Johanik does a great job with practice, and the kids listen and make it a quick practice. One of the more fast and efficient practices that I have seen in my past years as Publisher. I said this before about Wheaton Academy, they make the most out of what they are given. This coaching staff always puts their team in the best position to have a winning season. Getting an 8-2 record last season and getting a horrible pairing with Providence didn't help, but the Warriors gave all against the Celtics. Warriors will miss Belay who has graduated but they have the talent to move up the ranks. Wheaton Academy has a task of getting two big games of St. Michaels (Texas) and St. Charles East to kick off the season. They must get a win at least against Bishop Mac, Aurora Christian, or Marian Central this season. Brett Kasper headlines the offense with his playmaking ability. Brett Dieter is defensive playmaker who is one of their stars on defense along with big man Brunner. Was impressed with Class of 2025 lineman Jeremiah Johanik this camp day. Kid is a mauler on the line and tough nosed player. Looking at their defense to be key for their success this season in this newly formed conference. Addition of Robert Grant will be huge for the Warriors this season along with this dominating defense. Grant is a nightmare on the interior and just eats up space.
