What a wonderful time at Wauconda today!!! Really enjoyed watching this team and the hope of this team making the IHSA playoffs for a 3rd straight time. Tough loss last season to conference rivals Grayslake North. They gave Notre Dame a fight in Round 2 last season. Wauconda has an array of sized linemen along with a talented backfield. Coach Protska took the team over last season and guided them to a first-round win. Came to an end after playing a tough Niles Notre Dame team. Key playmakers with Olsen, Vanselow will make this team versatile for the upcoming fall. Wauconda lost key playmakers Schmidt, Groelle, Becker to graduation. The main thing for this Bulldog team is who will step up in the secondary roles and how will the bench play for the upcoming season especially when we get into those early schedule games. Two others names I'm watching for growth this season that could be a huge help are Brock Pfeiffer and big man Caleb Apodaca. The passing attack will play huge part in the Bulldog's success this season. Wauconda has to be seen as conference challengers in my mind for the Northern Lake County Conference. Bulldogs look poised to make a deep playoff run this season (hopefully fair seeding). Very impressed the team's ability to listen with this being the last day of camp before break. Looking forward to seeing how a very talented Class of 2025 and 2026 steps up for the upcoming season.

Wauconda has 2 tough opening games. Hinsdale South is getting better and Kaneland are state title contenders. Weeks 6 & 9 will be huge for the Bulldogs this season. Do not sleep on Grant this season.
