Deep Dish Football Tour 2022: Stop #6 Oswego - Panther Youth
Head Coach Brian Cooney
6 - 3 2021 Season Record (Lost To Glenbard West In The First Round IHSA Playoffs)
Started 0 -- 2 Then Went On A 6 Game Win Streak
Well tonight was a pleasant surprise in Oswego. Last night was even more of surprise when Coach Cooney invited me out to watch his version of the 2022 Panthers early summer scrimmage/camp. To me the question is not if Oswego are SPC contenders, but the question is how Oswego will be in the IHSA Playoffs. They had a horrible two game losses last season that killed their playoff pairings. To me this year they have to start firing off of all cylinders and get those early wins. Oswego will have to have a huge youth movement for them to have successful season. Melton, Grays, Sergen, etc. have graduated and those are huge playmakers to lose. Class of 2024 will have to pick up where Class of 2022 left off. Oswego passing attack will be key this season with defenses zeroing in on the running attack, that is scary for the rival defenses.

4 Games To Watch From The 2022 Oswego Schedule
VS Neuqua Valley - Tempo Game
VS Oswego East , Plainfield North, Minooka - Big Games
Oswego has a chance to get to 4-0 start of this season. Starting off with Neuqua Valley will be a huge game for them. See that game as their tempo game. Last 5 games are going to be tough because I see West Aurora as huge sleeper for this upcoming season.
Coach Big Pete's Prediction: 6-3 or 5-4
