Deep Dish Football Tour 2021: Stop #9 Hersey - Dog Days Of Summer

Head Coach Joe Pardun

3-3 Spring Season Record

NO IHSA PLAYOFFS IN 2020/2021

Don't think that 3-3 spring record spoke really well of that Hersey team. As like many teams dealing with Covid Protocol it was just a off season. Hersey has strong passing attack with senior QB Makuh and along with some great athletic WRs. Big thing is can they get that running attack going with that offensive line. Makuh, Clawson are the biggest threats in the Mid-Suburban (East) Conference this fall. Keep a very close eye on Josh Bontje he could be one of those IHSA fall breakout stars. That Huskie secondary is going be a problem for a lot offenses. Keep a very close eye on a underrated Hersey defensive line, they could be OL coaches problems. The biggest teller for this season will be how well the growth of the Junior class does in those first 3 games. Still to got to love Hersey Coaching Staff, coaching great technique with these kids. Coach Pardun has one of the better staffs in Illinois and deserves alot of praise for it. HOF Coach Donatucci still on top of his game and one of the best in the IHSA. They kickoff their season against Lincoln Way West which will be a huge test for the Huskies.

3 Games To Watch From The 2021 Hersey Fall Schedule

vs Lincoln Way West Aug 27th - Tempo Game

@ Glenbrook North Sept 17th - Must Win Game

@ Palatine September 3rd - Big Game

Lincoln Way West is going to be that tempo game for Hersey that will set up the season. Glenbrook North is a must win game for Hersey if they wish to get into the IHSA playoffs. Palatine is always a big game for the Hersey Huskies but these year could be special game.

Players I'm Keeping An Eye Out For On Hersey 2021 Season

Jimmy Makuh

Cole Woods

Ben Clawson

Alex Jelaca

Josh Bontje

Miki Jovanovic

Breyden Smith

Dylan Carlquist

Keep a very close eye on the Hersey Offensive Line. If they can get a hold of things, this team could be hard to handle this upcoming season.

Final Verdict: I see Hersey going either 5-4 or 6-3 this Fall (Making Playoffs)`

Always Great Times At Hersey
