Nate Glazebrook Glenbrook North LB/FB Class of 2022 6'0 225

Nate Glazebrook how does it feel to be back on the football field?

To start, it feels amazing to be back on the field. It’s been a long time since me, my teammates, and the entire state of Illinois has gotten the opportunity to play under Friday night lights. And knowing what we went through to even get this season makes it even better.

What does football mean to you?

Football means everything to me. It’s been a part of my life for longer than I can remember, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it. It’s the one of the very few things that allows you to use everything your body has, and get to put that physicality and aggression on an opposing team in a controlled environment. It’s a feeling nothing can replicate.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

I feel that my strongest trait on the football field is my instincts, and putting everything I have into every tackle or block I make. In my 2 seasons as a varsity starter so far, there is not one play that comes to mind where I give up or don’t give it everything I have. And on the defensive side of the ball, my instincts have led to many plays made in just 2 games this season so far.

What do you see in this Maine South squad?

This season Maine South is like always, very skilled and disciplined. They have a lot of stand out players who we need to be aware of, and we are prepping to do so. They are a great team that I look forward to playing, and I think it’ll be a battle to the last minute.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I want college coaches to know that I’m willing. I will always be willing to do whatever it takes to benefit the team, whether it is extra training, switching positions, and any other sacrifice that a player could make in order for the team to succeed. I’ve already switched positions a few times this season to make things work, and I’d be willing to do it again.

What players on Glenbrook North should I keep an eye out for on Saturday?

On our team we have a lot of great players, including myself. We have QB Avery Burrow, WR/DB Ryan Henschal, OL/DL Jackson Carsello, LB JR Flood, and so many others.
