Carter Button Morris QB 6'1 185 Class of 2024
Carter Button how was your first two weeks back on the field? It felt really good to finally get a few wins under our belt as a team and as a starting quarterback. I felt nervous in the beginning, but I quickly calmed down and adjusted to varsity football. But there is much more work to be done. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. I feel like it’s a place where I can collaborate with my teammates on and off the field. I appreciate the preparation it takes before games. Football has been a huge part of my life since I was a little kid. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that as a quarterback I try help out my teammates. I always try to use my brain on the field. I am able to build chemistry with teammates and keep my cool during tough moments in the game. I think I am tougher than most quarterbacks and I can take a hit in the pocket and I'm not afraid to lower my shoulders when I have to. What do you like about playing QB? I like to have full control over the field. I like to put my teammates in good positions. I like the idea that I have the ability and permission on plays to both throw the ball or run it. How does this Kaneland squad look for Friday night? They are going to be a tough challenge. They have a great quarterback over there and some great weapons. I’m excited for the challenge in front of all of our great fans. Who on Morris is the funny guy? Our Left Guard Aidan King. He brings great energy and brings up the spirits. Our sophomore manager Finn Hackett is also someone that can make us laugh on a daily basis. Both of these guys bring a lot of fun to the team, but the whole team really bonds well, and we are all funny together.
