Gavin Woodland ATH Class of 2022 Sesser-Valier
Gavin Woodland how is your season going for you so far? With missing the first two games I think it’s going well. We haven’t had to throw the ball yet much this year and we have kept our playbook pretty small. Looking forward to spreading the field a little more with some big games coming up What does the Black Diamond Conference mean to you? It’s a very fun conference to be apart of. A lot of what are considered smaller school but there is always good talent. More often than not there are a lot of competition week by week and there aren’t many easy games What do you see in this Johnston City squad for Friday night? There is no question they have talent at multiple positions, they have a transfer QB from a bigger conference and many other returning starters from last year. They are a physical team and when the pieces line up they are a very good team What has been your favorite memory so far this season? Definitely getting back our 148 sign. Christopher got us last year and as soon as that game was over everyone had that game circled for this year. We were able to put together 4 good quarters and shut them out 42-0 Name one player on Sesser-Valier who is having a breakout season? Brock Chelf. Brock got to run the ball a little last year as a sophomore but has taken the starting role this year and ran with with. He has ran for around 700 yards and 10 touchdowns so far this year
