So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Brett Kasper how was your offseason? My off-season went pretty well. This is the first year that I’ve started to focus on receiver, up to this point I played QB. I started working on routes with my brother Eddie this summer, and it translated pretty well into 7 on 7. With Belay at quarterback, I think I’m going to have a great season. What does football mean to you? Everything. From the beginning, playing football has always been my dream. Although I have competed in a variety of sports, nothing compares. This hit home after spending last winter alpine ski racing in Colorado, when I realized just how much football meant to me. Because of this, I decided to put my ski racing dreams aside and go all in on football. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me, knowing that I am pursuing what I love. What should college coaches know about you? I am extremely competitive, and I will do anything it takes to win. I still have a lot to learn, as this is my first-year practicing receiver, but I have great mentors as my Uncle Kevin played WR in the NFL, and my brother and cousin are both D1 receivers. What do you think about your upcoming opponent in Marian Central Catholic? They have some very good athletes, so it is going to be a tough game. Also, with Marian having a new head coach, it is harder to game plan for them, but our coaches have made sure we are prepared for anything that comes our way. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My route running and hands. Favorite route you like to run? 10 yard out
