Deep Dish Football GOTW Player Spotlight: Conversation With Carmel Senior Star LB/RB Kyle Lynch

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Kyle Lynch Carmel LB/RB Class Of 2024 5'9 175

Kyle Lynch how has your first two weeks of practice been so far? My first two weeks of practice have been great so far, it feels surreal that I’m a senior now and this will be my last year of high school football. So I’ve been appreciating each moment of practice these past weeks a lot more. We have a great senior class this year, and as a whole team we have a very talented group. For me personally I think practice these past two weeks have been great for me, I’ve been preparing with all the effort I have, and I’m hungry for game week. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me, and it’s much more than just a game to me. I’ve been playing football since 2nd grade so this will be my 11th year of playing football. It’s a game that’s taught me how to be a man physically and mentally. It has showed me what what hard work and and dedication can get you in life.

How good can this Carmel team be for the season? Our Carmel team this season will be a great team. We have a shot at a state title for sure this year, but we just have to take it one game at a time, and we need to focus on winning each week. What do you see in this Crete Monee team for friday night? I feel like we will see a physical and athletic football team. They’re a historically good football program and they were successful last season. They’ll come out and compete. Who is the funniest coach on Carmel Catholic? All of our coaches have great humor, but one coach in particular who is very funny is Coach Kreutz. What goals do you have for yourself this season? For my defensive goals I’d like to get 100 tackles this year, and I’d like to get at least 2 interceptions. For my Offensive goals I’d like to rush for at least 500 yards and have 10 TDs. I also would like to help lead my team to a state championship football game.

What do incoming players need to know about this Carmel football program? We have rebuilt this program over the past couple of years I’ve been here, we’ve filtered out the negatives, and have built a great winning football program with a positive culture. Also, I’d argue that we have one of the best coaching staffs in the state.
