Deep Dish Football Game of the Week: Batavia 21 St. Charles North 19 Final "Well That Was Weird"
In my covering of IHSA football for 5 years this had to be one of the weirdest games that I have witnessed. BUT.. it was a kinda good weird, that made this game entertaining. Batavia QB Kyle Oroni with two great scores in the first half. Michael Priami with a great looking 42 yard TD pass to WR Doherty. Batavia Bulldogs defense just dominating in the second half and not giving up a TD. St. Charles North defense also deserves a shoutout after tightening up after giving up 21 in the first half as well. Hell of a defensive stop made by Bulldog playmaker Mojo Weerts. Again a lot of mental mistakes were made in this game which actually made the game little more dramatic and fun to watch. I have no doubt in my mind both teams will exercise yellow flag demon by next week for Week 3.
