Lucas Fears how was your sophomore season? Overall, I feel it was a pretty good season, I had much improvement from freshman year, but I still need to be better and get better and I will as time will come. I loved being able to play as much as I did, and I can’t wait for junior year. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. It’s an escape from reality, it’s a second family of brothers, and really something to have fun and get away from it all and enjoy the sport. Football to me is a way of life like no other What was one of your favorite memories this season? One of my favorite memories from this season was the first game. The whole team played their heart out and everyone made a difference and we ended up winning by one of our leaders rushing for a game winning touchdown. When that happened it all felt worth it, all the work and hard times worth it. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I’m a very coachable player, I’m smart and scrappy, I don’t give up on plays even if I do make a mistake, and I always make sure to keep my brothers and sisters up in the locker room and out What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel my strongest trait on the field would be my vision, I feel I can read the defense and the holes very well and get extra yardage as much as I can. This also translates over to defense by being able to stuff lanes and use my vision to my advantage. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the off-season? I plan on working on my strength speed and agility in the offseason, to make sure I will be better and ready to dominate for next season What should Westmont students who are on the fence about joining the football program should know about this program? They should know that this is a family everyone has your back no matter what and we work harder than anyone so be ready for that.

Who else on Westmont had a breakout season this season? Darius Stevenson JR., our lead senior running back had an amazing season and led us through every single game never gave up on the team no matter what, and whoever is able to take him as part of their team at the next level will be blessed and thankful.
