So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Matthew Kelley QB United Township Class of 2024 5'11 175

Matthew Kelley how was your sophomore season? It was an alright year. It was full of ups and downs; I learned a lot but wasn’t satisfied with much personal success or our teams' success. Which will be changed. What does football mean to you? Everything. It’s all I think ever about... It’s all I ever think about! What should college coaches know about you? I love playing football, but I also love learning the way the game works, the ins and outs of football. I don’t skip reps. I take pride in being early. I’m also a leader on the field and in the classroom! What do you like about playing QB? I love the pressure and being able to lead my guys. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I’m very confident in my deep ball accuracy. I can throw the ball, but I also have the ability to run and move the chains when needed. What part of your game have you been working on in the off-season? Overall strength, consistency in the pass game, decision making. What goals do you have for yourself this season? I would say 1st team all-conference and leading us to the playoffs. How does United look this season? Very good... We have some experience under our belt now which is huge. I feel pretty confident with these guys Who on United should we keep an eye out for this season? Grayson Anderson (TE, WR, LB) he would have been on varsity as a freshman but tore his ACL and will finally be back for this year. Kellen Kpogli (OT,DT) is big body at defensive line, and Dante Jackson (G,DT) another big body on the line who gets pancakes consistently. Aden Struble (WR) one of my favorite targets and doesn’t drop the ball.
