So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jacob Bell Naperville North QB 6'2 175 Class of 2025

Jacob Bell how was your freshman season? I’m proud of my freshman season. We went 5-4 and really progressed throughout the season. It was my first year playing Quarterback and I started off shaky and have become really comfortable with the position. My boys and I have been working hard this off-season and we’re excited to see how our sophomore season will go What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. I’ve been playing since I was 6 and have made a lot of memories along the way. The atmosphere is unbeatable and I love going at it with my friends from other schools What should college coaches know about you? I’ve met with some college coaches, and I think I’ve left a good impression. They should know that I’m determined to get things done on and off the field. And I take my leadership as a Quarterback very seriously. Most importantly I’m willing to give my all. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve been working my reads and progressions. I can make a lot of throws and tuck and run, when need be, but being a new Quarterback I have been working on timing and reading the defense and it shows in 7on7.

How do feel you have progressed from the end of the season last year to now? I’ve progressed a ton this offseason. I’ve consistently been going to throw it deep, playing 7v7, getting stronger, and gaining chemistry with my guys. I think we could have a breakout season next year. I visited Northwestern and was supposed to visit Illinois, so hopefully around this time next year some schools will pull the trigger How has your 7on7 season been so far? It’s going really well. I’m working to get pulled up to National for Boom, but I’ve got some nice competition. For north, my JV boys have been winning some games and I have been winning games on varsity as well. You can see the progression my guys and I are making What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait on the field is my awareness. I pride myself in knowing where everyone should be at and what everyone has to do in order to win football games. What does it mean to you to have a QB like Aidan Gray in front of you? It’s good to have someone in front of me who has gotten to where I want to be in a few years. He’s a good mentor because with Aidan I have the advantage of seeing how an Division 1 QB functions and plays Who on Naperville North is ready to have a breakout season this Fall? I’ve got a few dogs! A few JV guys who are going to breakout this fall are WR Nick Manzardo, RB Zach Mally, and WR Jack Westlake. You’ve seen them on my twitter, but these guys can make some plays. You’ll hear their names a few more times this fall. Kai Williams, 2025 WR/DE moved to Naperville from Oklahoma and is going to be a varsity beast this year. We got some sleepers that I can’t wait to see.
