Anthony Taormina WR St. Charles North Class Of 2024 5'11 170

Anthony Taormina how is your summer going so far? So far it has been going great. I have been in camp for my team, and we have been working on install mostly. We have a lot of new concepts being put in and I am really confident and excited to see how successful they will be. We just hosted a 7on7 tournament at North where we got a chance to use them, and we were very successful and won the tournament. How was your junior season? My team and I had a great season. We went 10-2 and made it to the quarterfinals. We had a deep connection with each other on and off the field which I personally think was one of the main causes of our success. I had a solid season as well. I started at Wide Receiver and Kick Returner, and I was able to excel at my positions and help the team out anytime I was on the field.

What does football mean to you? Football is everything to me. I have started playing at a very young age and it has been a key factor in my life ever since. My family is very football oriented. My cousin, Justin Taormina, played football at Minnesota State Mankato and he acted as a role model for me growing up and really showed me how beneficial and impactful football can be in my life. What should college coaches know about you? It has always been my dream to play college football and I can’t wait to continue my academic and athletic career at a great institution! What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait is making the big play happen. I am known for making the big catch or the long kick return back. I also have good field awareness, meaning I know how to play the sticks and read defenses so that I can make myself open or one of my teammates.

What goals do you have for yourself this season? I want to be the leading receiver on my team and be an all state player.

Who is one player on SCN ready for a breakout season this fall? Ethan Plumb for sure. This will be his third year on varsity, and he will be an upperclassman this year as well. Now that he’s older, his leadership role has exponentially grown. He will have 2 years of experience and built-up confidence behind him. Therefore, he will be a hands down, stand out player this year.
