So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Earnest Davis Chicago Academy ATH/QB Class of 2023 6'1 160

Earnest Davis how was your Junior season? My junior season was successful I definitely grew as a leader and player for myself, and my team and we had a successful season this year. Being one of the first teams in past years to win 5 or more games so I had a great junior season What does football mean to you Football means a lot to me it’s just not a sport or something I do for fun it’s my life it’s a way. I can be able to take care of my family in the future, it has taught me a lot of lessons not just on the field but off the field too, so the game has a special place in my heart which is why I love it so much. What should college coaches know about you? I’m a hard worker on and off the field and I love competing against other players and getting my teammates and the people around me better when I got the chance. I hold myself and my teammates accountable when I mess up or see someone else mess up on and off the field, so you are just not getting a one-sided player with me. What schools have you talked to so far? Augustana I recently was in contact with and I got junior day and camp invites from Princeton, Dartmouth, Penn and Wagner University What do you think is your strongest trait on the football field? Definitely my versatility I'm able to move around on the field on offense defense and special teams and able to help my team out anyway I need to. I was moved from WR to QB and I’m still learning everyday about the position and getting better, but I definitely do think my versatility is my best trait on the field on offense and on defense. I’ll cover at corner and come up and make a tackle on the ball carrier. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? First goal is to bring a conference championship to the team and school and grow as a player so I can prepare for the next level. Second goal is to lead my team to a better season than the one we had this past season and help them grow as players.
