Derek Whaley how was your spring season of football? My spring season was good. I missed my first 2 games due to contact tracing. Then I finally started week 3 against Marist. I just hate how it was so short. What does football mean to you? Football for me is just my favorite hobby everything I do from what I eat to running track is for football. I just love being able to play with my team and fly around. What should college coaches know about you? They should know that I’m a leader. I’ve always been a person who leads and football especially being a rising senior now allows me to thrive as a leader What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Definitely my speed and my ability to read a play and react
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? My goal is to win state. Losing 2 conference games just didn’t sit right with MC. My personal goal is to earn a division 1 scholarship
