Justin Hemmersbach Morris OL/DL 6'2 260 Class of 2023

Justin Hammersbach how was your junior season? My junior season is what I would say is my favorite football so far. The team last year was band of brothers, and I was honored and humbled to be a captain. We did great in the regular season going 9-0 conference champions, but came up short in the playoffs, which has driven me to play with a chip on my shoulder next year. What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me. It’s already been my favorite sport and I love the grind as much as the game itself. What should college coaches know about you? I play nasty with attitude and intensity, and I work hard to become the biggest, strongest, fastest, and most agile player I can be. I also work hard to set an example as a leader on my team. What do you like about playing in the trenches? I love the feeling that it’s a one-on-one battle the whole game. The ability to move another man from one point to another against his will is a pretty satisfying feeling.
What schools have you talked to so far? I’ve been talking to some school’s coaches about going to camps and junior days like local D3-D1 Illinois colleges and some out of state. What does Morris need to do to get a state title for 2022? We’ve been working really hard in the weight room and also on the turf for speed and agility. The main thing that the 2022 Morris Redskin football team needs to do is play with a mean chip on our shoulder and play with Redskin pride!
