Jack Lesher Marmion Academy Class of 2024 Linebacker/ATH 6'3 195
Jack Lesher how was your sophomore season?
It was a very good experience playing on varsity in the CCL. I got to play some very high-level players and I learned a lot, especially in the first couple of games. It took a lot of mental toughness and grit to adjust to the fast game play, but every game just kept getting better as the season went on. I would say it was a successful season for myself.
What does football mean to you?
Football means a lot to me. I put a lot of effort in to better myself in football so when I succeed it really makes me feel good. It not only is a very fun sport to play, but it takes toughness and determination to get the results you want. Football has helped me create some of the best friendships in my life, so I enjoy everything about it, on and off the field.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am a very hard worker and will do anything they ask me to do to make the team better. With being a wrestler, I am very mentally tough, and I won’t ever give up. I will always give my best effort and I will always do the right things off the field to better myself.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I feel that my strongest trait on the field is my patients and how I feel that I can always put myself in the best situation to make a tackle. I keep my composure really well and I always give my best effort to make a play.
What position do you feel most comfortable at on the field?
I feel most comfortable at middle or outside linebacker. I like both and play whichever I asked to play... Whichever I am asked to play.
What is your dream school to play for?
I would say anywhere in the Big 10 but probably Michigan.
What do you like about playing on the defense?
I just like how it really just comes down to whoever is playing harder and how you just get to be free out there and hit people.
How does Marmion Academy look for the upcoming season?
We look very good, and I am looking forward to this fall. We have a lot of returning starters on defense and a good young offense ready to make some noise this season.
