Max Bauer how was your junior season?
My junior season went well for being my second year playing football after playing hockey for 12 years. I was given a great opportunity to earn a spot with some playing time by Coach Czart. Most importantly, I was able to gain the trust of my teammates and be a part of a championship culture.
What does football mean to you?
Football means drive and passion to me. I love the hard work you need to put in to make yourself better at your position. It has given me opportunities currently at Lockport and hopefully in the future at the college level.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know I am working hard in the offseason at Core 1 and at Lockport HS, I have great grades, I am a great teammate and looking to make a significant impact for their program.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
I love the point of contact and using my technique to make a big play. I feel when the D line gets moving and making plays it energizes the team and sets the tone.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My strongest trait right now is taking on double teams and understanding my alignment and assignment, so we are successful in executing as a defense.
What goals do you have for yourself this season?
To be a team leader, have explosive off the ball technique, make two big plays or more a game and earn an opportunity to play football at the next level.
