So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Ryder McMurray how was your sophomore season?

My sophomore season was a great experience. I was given the opportunity to start on varsity and play side by side with my senior brother. I have grown a strong bond with my teammates throughout the season. What does football mean to you? Football to me is my everything. I have been influenced in a life of football from my father playing at the University of Idaho in the early 80’s. I love the sacrifice and the commitment to play the best sport out there. What should college coaches know about you? Coaches should know I am committed to the success of the program on and off the field both as a teammate and an individual. I am proud of my accomplishments in the classroom. I’ve been able to achieve a 4.66 gpa and have been selected for both the honor roll and dean's list. What do you like about playing in the trenches? I love the physicality on the offensive side of playing in the trenches. I do not shy away from competition and enjoy going 1 on 1 against our opponents best. What part of your game are you planning to work on in the offseason? Over the offseason I am going to dedicate myself to getting stronger and quicker. I am going to live in the weight room and work with a speed coach the improve my footwork and my overall quickness. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My football IQ, I have a strong understanding of the game and how the defense functions. I watch a lot of film and I am able to anticipate their tendencies and how I will respond to the situation.
