Filip Maciorowski Glenbard West Class of 2023 TE/WR 6'3 200

Flip Maciorowski how was your junior season? My junior season was my best season yet! I came into the season not sure if I was going to play wide receiver or tight end but once I got to showcase my blocking ability/ physicality my coach thought I could help the team out the most playing tight end. It was a new position for me, but I learned quick and did everything I could to be the best version of myself at the position. What does football mean to you? To me football means everything, it runs in my blood. I grew up playing with my older brothers every day and even got to witness my oldest brother win a state championship back in 2015. Ever since then I dreamed of playing in a state championship game and holding my own ring. He inspired me to push myself everyday so that one day my dreams would turn into reality. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I’m a team first player that would do anything for my team to win. I’m a student of the game, I understand that to be a good football player you have to have great football IQ and with my knowledge, physicality, size, and skill I could dominate at any position my coach wants me to play in. I also devote most of my time trying to become a better person on and off the field. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I believe my strongest trait on the football field is my size/physicality. I believe with my 6’3 200lbs physique I’m a mismatch in the passing game. And with my physicality I’m determined to overpower my opponent in the run game. What is your favorite route to run? My favorite route to run is the corner route because teams are usually worried about getting beat deep against us, so it makes it easy for me to fake like I’m running a go route and just break it off with a quick cut towards the sideline. What goals do you have for yourself this season? My primary goal is to help my team win a state championship. What game excites you the most for the upcoming season? I’m cannot wait for our first game against Marist! I’m excited to remind the state that Glenbard West is the real deal with a win over a strong Marist team.
