Jayce Meier Clifton Central Athlete Class of 2023 5'10 165
Jayce Meier how was your junior season?
My junior senior was okay. I was nowhere I wanted to be, and I had been battling injuries all season. I feel that our team played exceptionally well except for a couple games.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. It’s a grind day in and day out, and it is a lifestyle to me.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m a hard worker, a quick learner, I’m a leader, and a great teammate. I also work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
Definitely my speed and explosiveness have been the key ones. I’ve also been working not only on physical aspects, but things like communicating more while on the field and working to understand the game more every day.
How does Central look for the upcoming season?
I think we’re going to be a very salty team this season. We have a lot of guys coming back. Everyone has been coming in all summer and working hard, and we’re coming in with a chip on our shoulder. Expectations are high.
What goals do you have for yourself this season?
To rush for 1000+ yards and have 500+ receiving yards.
Who on Central is ready for a breakout season? Honestly, we all are ready for a breakout season, but if I had to pick a few, it would be QB Luke Shoven, WR Tristan Schmidt, WR Matthew Luhrsen, OL Aidan Christensen, and DL Damian Bailey.
